Air Travel

e have entered into contracts with American Airlines for a discounted rate for LoneStarCon 2. The American Airlines European Star File number is S9687AB, and the American Airlines Star File number for the United States and Canada is S1187MJ. These travel codes are good from August 18, 1997 through September 11th, 1997. Discounted rates for the US and Canada are 10% off full ticket prices and 5% off non-refundable ticket prices. Due to federal regulations, American Airlines cannot offer discounted fares for connections outside of the US and Canada, but the use of the Star File number for European reservations is annotated that they will offer you the lowest rates available for your travel dates. The phone number for American Airlines reservations is 1-800-433-7300, and their web site (which features online reservations for AAdvantage members) is at <URL:http://www.americanair.com/>. Note that while the web site can be used to make the reservations, the 1-800 number needs to be called to pay for the tickets so that you can use the Star File number for the discount.

Directions to the Rivercenter Marriot

If you are coming from the Airport: Take Airport Blvd. to 281-south, 281-south to I37 south, I-37 south to Commerce. Commerce exit to the street (be careful there is not a stop sign or a light). Commerce is a one way street to the right. You will see the hotel about a block ahead on the right. You need to turn right on Bowie and watch for the entrance to the hotel lobby.

If you are coming from the Amtrak Station: Starting at the San Antonio Amtrak Station at 224 Hoefgen St, begin on HOEFGEN ST heading north for 0.1 miles. Continue on E COMMERCE ST heading west for 0.3 miles to the Marriott San Antonio Rivercenter.

If you are coming from the Greyhound Bus Station: Starting at 400 N. St. Mary's St., begin on N ST. MARY'S ST. heading south for 0.2 miles. Turn right on E. COMMERCE ST. heading west for 0.1 miles to the Marriott San Antonio Rivercenter.

If you are coming from the east on I-10: Take I-10 to I-35 North, I-35 North to I-37 South, I-37 south to Commerce. Commerce exit to the street (be careful there is not a stop sign or a light).
