The Second Occasional LoneStarCon Science Fiction Convention and Chili Cook-off, Variously known as the 55th World Science Fiction Convention and LoneStarCon 2, the 1997 Worldcon, To be held from August 28th through September 1st, in the year 1997, in San Antonio, Texas. Science Fiction Conventions WebRing Information Page
he Science Fiction Conventions WebRing
is a webring consisting of different web pages all dedicated to
Science Fiction conventions, and is hosted courtesy of A.L.A.M.O., Inc. and LoneStarCon 2.
On this page you can visit a random SF Convention site, or submit your web
page for addition to the Science Fiction Conventions WebRing, or if your are already a
member site, you can edit your site's attributes.
How to join the ring
Here are the steps that need to be followed to join the Science Fiction Conventions webring.
Please follow them closely to preserve the integrity of the ring!
- Make local copies of the Science Fiction Conventions WebRing graphics, with your selection based on your target background color. If none of the color choices looks good on your web site, let me know, and
I'll whip up graphic files that match your site.
- Add the HTML fragment (which you will receive via e-mail) to your homepage. You can customize it to meet
your individual needs, within reason.
- Make sure the fragment points to images on your own site; each graphic has a separate name based on background color choice. The Science Fiction Conventions Ring link, however, should still point to
http://www.alamo-sf.org/lonestarcon2/sfcons.html
- Fill out the below form to register your site, then write down the Site ID number you are assigned. This will put your page in the Science Fiction Conventions WebRing 'Queue', where it will remain until you are added to the ring. This does not insert you in the ring; the actual insertion is done later.
- After checking out your page for SF Conventions content and correct use of the HTML fragment you will get in e-mail, I will take your Site ID Number and use it to add you to the ring. You should then receive an e-mail telling you you've been added.
- That's it! You should now be able to navigate the entire ring until you make it back to your own page (although it may take a while, depending on how many conventions participate).
Well, thats it for now! Hope you enjoy the webring!
The SF Conventions WebRing is provided in service to fandom by LoneStarCon 2.
